Get ready for a culinary adventure! The Dayton Food Truck Association is set to host its first-ever food truck rally at the Montgomery County Fairgrounds on Saturday, August 3rd, from noon to 7 p.m. This exciting event promises to be a feast for the senses, featuring a diverse array of food trucks, alongside cottage bakers and artisans.
Food lovers are in for a treat as over 30 food trucks will converge on the fairgrounds, offering a mouthwatering selection of cuisines. From savory delights to sweet indulgences, there will be something to satisfy every palate. "It's going to be a food lover's dream come true," said Cory Thompson, President of the Dayton Food Truck Association. "We want to showcase the incredible culinary talent we have right here in Dayton."
But the fun doesn't stop at food. The rally will also feature 11 other vendors, including cottage bakers and craft merchants, creating a vibrant and bustling atmosphere. Live music and family-friendly activities are also in the works to enhance the overall experience.
Thompson, who is also the owner of the popular What The Taco?! food truck, explained the motivation behind the event. "We've been attending food truck rallies in neighboring counties like Miami and Darke, and they've been incredibly successful. It's always amazed me that Montgomery County didn't have its own. We have a thriving food truck community here, and it's time to shine a spotlight on them."
The rally is not only a celebration of local food but also an opportunity for businesses to connect with potential clients. With a variety of food trucks and vendors, the event is an ideal setting for corporate outings and team-building activities.
Admission and parking for the Montgomery County Food Truck Rally are free, making it accessible to everyone. So, mark your calendars and get ready to indulge in a day filled with delicious food, great company, and family-friendly fun.
